The Cast

was born and raised in NYC. Adelia grew up surrounded by the arts, and found her love of performing in high school. She is a senior, Drama major at NYU Tisch. She completed her primary training at Atlantic Acting School. The summer of 2023 she attended the International Theatre Workshop in Amsterdam. She completed a transfer track at the Experimental Theatre Wing’23. Adelia recently made her off-Broadway debut at the Atlantic Theatre Company in Avery Deutch's "The Winter Guard Play," portraying the character Jess. Prior to this, she showcased her talent in the Tisch Mainstage production of Aphra Behn's The Rover, embodying the role of Pedro. Noteworthy among her performances is St. Monica and Mother Teresa in the Last days of Judas Iscariot in August 2024. Adelia is really excited to be a part of Tryna be a Playa but don’t know how to Play the Game. She will be playing the role of Denecia.

raised in Teaneck, NJ, started out his artistry journey being involved in dance, music, and modeling at a young age. He transitioned into athletics competing in the grade school, high school, collegiate, and professional level before returning back to the arts industry. He just made his off-Broadway debut portraying Muhammad Ali in a one-man show this past December, and is now excited to be a part of this cast and production.

is a native of Chesapeake, Virginia and this will be her debut performance to New York theatre. She was most recently in a production of Stick Fly (Cheryl) with the Prince William Little Theatre. Trinitee would like to thank God, her family, and friends for their unwavering support and would like to dedicate this performance to her parents.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, to parents of Jamaican heritage,is the youngest of his siblings. Inspired by an older sibling to channel creativity, they developed a passion for acting and began their journey as an extra on set. Driven by a deep love for the craft, they pursued formal training through acting classes, honing their skills to build a lasting career in the industry.

grew up in Atlanta, GA. She has been passionate about performing arts since high school, but is relatively new to the New York City theater scene. She is an avid volleyball player and home chef and owes everything to her beautiful mother, Irene, and is so excited to have her in attendance during her stage debut.

Meet the Writer
Onyi Okoli is the writer and director of Trynna Be A Playa But Don’t Know How To Play The Game. While in college, she produced and directed plays such as George C. Wolfe’s The Colored Museum and August Wilson’s Fences. She has been producing and performing in her original works post graduation including touring her one woman show, Charmed I’m Sure!, to sold out audiences. After relocating to New York, she studied improv for over a decade, was a UCB house improviser, and opened for D.L Hughley at the City Winery. Currently, she teaches improv at the Brooklyn Comedy Collective and is 1/3rd of Branded Silk improv troupe. Her credits include: FBI: Most Wanted, Poker Face, and Hack My LIfe. She is managed by 3 Arts Entertainment.
